Soon. Really.

We have landed in Boston, and not only landed, but unpacked. Nothing major broke on it's way here (well, except my heart, but that's another story, and happily it is being repaired by the lovely friends and family here)!  We are now just framing a few final items to hang and trying to remember where everything was unpacked to. GoGo has, thankfully, been here helping us get settled. We will very much miss her when she's gone. It will also mean reality is returning... Just a week until Steve starts work. 

We are quite happy with the apartment - it is HUGE. More than half again the size of our postage stamp in San Francisco. We have a hall. A hall!  

The neighborhood has more kids than we remember - not sure if something has changed or we just notice them more now. There's a new ice cream shop and a new playground nearby. We are so enjoying being back in the heart of the city and having the Public Garden and Esplanade as our backyard. 

It is warm here. We have been wearing shorts and sandals. We have taken evening walks. We have gone swimming!  Summer, we have missed you.  

The kids are doing well.  They were a dream on the flight and the time change was a non-event (I suppose this could be because Steve and I have not adhered to any sort of schedule or bedtime for them... rhat's also a'comin' soon along with real life). Grace seems glad to be settled and have her toys again. I think we underestimated how unsettling the moving prep was for her, and since our stuff was delivered she has been far more recognizable. This, naturally, means that I'm now worried about what kind of materialistic messages we have been sending...  But we can plumb that another day.

Anyway, this was going to be a quick update to say we are here and ok and I have lots more to add in the days to come, but instead it turned into the start of said update.  More soon, though, with pictures of our final days in Cali and our first adventures here!
