Bookshelf: The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency

Just finished The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall. What a fun, quick read! I've had this on my shelf forever, along with another in the series, and for some reason I just couldn't get into them. Why was it different this time? No idea, but I'm so glad I read it. The main character, Precious Ramotswe, is wonderful and the subtle stories of life and modern day Africa that are told through her adventures are delightful and thought provoking in a gentle, truthful way. I've already started the other one.
