It has started, cannot be avoided any longer despite my best efforts. The apartment is basically a disaster area, with heaps of boxes and packing material and coded piles for what we're giving to whom and what we need to get rid of and what goes in the car versus the pods versus the planes. The walls are bare and many of the shelves, too. The winter clothes are mostly packed. We start packing the kitchen next weekend. We have taken an entire carload to Goodwill and doubtless we'll be back there soon. If you're in the area and want our couch and armchair, let us know. They're such a lovely eggplant color, I'll miss them. But anyway, Grace is very helpful. She gleefully emptied several shelves to get us started. She really is her father's daughter. Or perhaps she's just 11 months old.
