Headstrong

We got a great view of Smaldita's profile yesterday during the ultrasound - it's amazing how big she is and how much she looks like a baby now. It was also easy to see because she's still upright, fully breech. So, we scheduled the external cephalic version for 37 weeks and if it doesn't get her to flip (or she doesn't do so on her own, which I suppose is still possible though unlikely), we'll have a scheduled c-section. The doctor did not seem terribly optimistic about the ECV working, but we'll just see what happens. Despite her willfulness, the baby's growth is excellent. She's five pounds, nine ounces right now, putting her on track to be average at birth. Just realized I wish I had asked how long she is!
